Pickleball
Pickleball is an interactive, recreational, fun and social sport among older adults 55+ in Winnipeg.
This popular sport is played with a racket or paddle where two or four players hit a perforated, hollow plastic ball with paddles over a 34-inch-high net until one side is unable to return the ball. Maples Community Centre gym has one pickleball net and offers a drop-in program.
Schedule
- Afternoon: Thursday 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM (starting in September)
- Evenings: Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM
Space is limited. As the program is geared for specifically for older adults 55+.
Pickleball participation passes are sold twice a year, September to February and March to August. The cost of a pass is $60. Watch for updates.
NOTE: All registered players must provide a signed Program Release and Waiver Liability form.
