The Monarch Boys PeeWee 2011 team went 5 wins and no losses in city playoffs. The championship game was on July 13, 2011, resulting in a 14-7 win over the Macdonald Mets(who at that point were unbeaten for the season). The game featured superb pitching by Maples pitchers Brittney Langlais and Brandon Lavalee as well as some timely hits by all Maples batters.
Coaches Erwin Harmatski, Sylvain Lizotte and Dave Johnson had nothing but praise for the effort put forth by the entire Maples team.
The team also won the North Winnipeg Regional Peewee A Hardball Championship with a record of 4 wins and 0 losses. The team finished first overall in the NWMBA season with a 11-1-1 record.
