We welcome players from across Winnipeg to our Maples KidPro Baseball Clinic scheduled for May 22, 2010.
Kids will have the chance to mix it up with the Pros in this half-day clinic thats dedicated to developing pitching, throwing, fielding and batting skills. Our special guest clinicians - three Winnipeg Goldeyes - will be on hand to share secrets that only the pros know.
The event includes a barbeque and inflatable jumpers so there's something for the whole family.

Nutri-lite Active Start Min-Soccer Festival
Maples is hosting the 2010 Nutrilite Active Start Mini-Soccer Festival on may 29, 2010. This all day event is for 3 – 8 year-olds and parents and features fun games between 16 teams from surrounding community centres.
The event includes a barbeque, inflatable bouncers for the kids, prizes and whole lot of fun.
The event is all weather and in case of rain will take place in the Maples gymnasium and Multiplex Arena.
Parents can register with their mini-soccer coaches, or by visiting the Maples Community Centre, Mon. – Fri. 5 – 9PM. Applications are available in the office and registration fees may be paid to the evening supervisor.

Annual General Meeting - Board and Executive Elections
Maples will be nominating new board and excutive members at its Annual General Meeting on May 30, 2010, starting at 1:30 PM, 434 Adsum Dr., Community Centre Boardroom.
Sign in occurs between 1:30 PM and 2:00 PM - all voting attendees must present proof of their postal code for their principal residents. All R2P codes will be issued a voting card. All other residentes are welcome to participate, however, they cannot vote.

All appointments are by nomination and election and are open to past members in good standing and residents of the Maples district. Anyone wishing to serve on the board or its executive, or if you wish to nominate someone you know, please complete the nomination form which may be downloaded at the link below.

2010 Volunteer Appreciation Banquet Announced
Maples will be hosting its 2010 Annual Volunteer Appreciation Banquet this May. Attendance is by invitation only and sports Convenors, Coaches and MRAI staff will be nominating volunteers in the coming weeks.
The event takes place in the Maples gymnasium and this year's menu will have a Ukrainian theme.
The event features a catered dinner, a door prize and gift raffle, one free beverage and entertainment. Alcohol will be served.
Maples sets aside this special evening just for our volunteers whose enthusiasm and enduring spirit make such a difference in our community. On behalf of the MRAI, our kids and the Maples district, THANK YOU!
