Maples Martial Arts Program Awards Its First Karate Black Belt
L to R: Adam Tocci - Maples Sports Director, Paul Ricard, Jamie Reyes - Karate Instructor
This past Saturday, April 19, 2010, at the Maples gym, our Marial Arts program intructor Sensei Jamie Reyes awarded Paul Ricard with a first dan (shodan) Karate black belt.
We contratulate Paul for successfully completing his Kata and the promotion is the result of his hard work, dedication and discipline.
We wish Paul well in his new status as "Senpai" (senior student) and his achievement as the very first Karate black belt awarded through the Maples Martial Arts program is a proud day indeed.
In addition to his black belt Paul was awarded a certificate of achievement. Paul is an inspiration to the other students in the program as well as to all of us at Maples. WAY TO GO PAUL!!!
